# Google My Business Activation Codes

Google My Business guidelines state that [virtual offices](https://virtually-there.net/virtual-offices/?hsLang=en) are not considered service-area businesses and that you need to have the office staffed during business hours to qualify for a Google My Business listing.

This means that Google may refuse to send your Google My Business activation code to your virtual office address.
